Initial voltage sag/spike occuring when starting. Is this normal in APC online UPS's?
This was originally posted on APC forums on 5/30/2016
Hi,
When online ups (SRC series smart online UPS 1KV) is switched on the voltage output display showing voltage sagging or spiking like 170V then 246V before settling in normal 220V which is set in online ups. This occurs during the initial few seconds only. But is that common in all APC smart online UPS's? It doesn't occur all time and the values are random. For example sometimes (1) 210V then 230V then 220V, (2) 205v 225V then 220V (3) 223V 218V then 220V etc. Similar thing occur also during self test but not varying much.
