We have 2 InRow coolers configured in a group with runtime load balancing enabled, monitoring with SWDC-E 7.2.1.
Everytime runtime load balancing kicks in (about every 4 days i think) i get an SMS alert to my phone, stating "No backup units available" then within a minute that status clears and i get a second alert "Backup units are available".
Sometimes this alert comes in the middle of the night and wakes me up.
Is there a way to stop these alerts, i don't really want to know about it unless something is actually wrong.
Regards
Jared

Hi Angela
I believe the original event is gets generated by the standby InRow Cooler which is then picked up by SWDC-E via SNMP and then forwarded on as SMS/Email.
Here's a screenshot of the event log entry at the InRow Cooler.
Here's an example of the email I receive from SWDC-E.

Do you know if the alerts are coming from the InRow unit itself or SWDCE? We'll need to know so we can help you adjust alert settings in the particular interface.
If you can copy and paste the alert or provide a screenshot, we'll be able to tell.

Thanks. OK, the alert is coming from SWDCE. I am not familiar with that product in relation to this setting , only adjusting them through the InRow itself under Administration->Notification.
I did some researching and found this post which tells someone how to check notification settings in DCE-> http://forums.apc.com/message/49256#49256
Let me know if that does not work. I'll ask one of our DCE experts to assist in checking the settings for this InRow.
