We recently purchased a APC smart-ups 1500. I have it online and have joined it to my account on smartconnect.apc.com. However, I'm getting a message stating, "Cannot remotely control the UPS device's input sensitivity as SmartConnect access is not enabled on your Smart-UPS." Everything that I've seen online points to my user manual, but one was not provided in the box and I don't have a DVD drive in my office. Can you provide instructions for how to enable it via the LCD screen on the front of the UPS? Thanks.

I have appended the full user manual for your specific model. Follow the steps outlined in page 11 & 13.
Page 11 calls out how to enter the configuration mode. Page 13 calls out how to enable Smart Connect Remote Commands.

Lastly, you’ll need to confirm if the Standard Smart Connect subscription allows changes to the feature you’re asking about.
Compared to the Advanced subscription which allows remote control of the outputs etc. Please call out what subscription you have and let me know if the other information resolved that specific issue. 👍

Given you have provided no specific information as to exact model APC UPS. My reply will be over generalized to cover both possibilities.
On older models there is a physical button / switch on the back next to the cloud RJ45 port that can be toggled to allow remote control via Smart Connect.
On newer models go to LCD and toggle to Configuration. Scroll all the way until you see Smart Connect and change the default option from (No) to (Yes) than hit save.
If you have more questions please ask. If not and this solved your problem. Please do mark this answer as a solution so it may help the next person asking the same. 👍

The build sheet taped to the outside of it calls it a SMC1500-2UC. When I look at it in the smart connect website it calls it a Smart-UPS 1500. The LCD screen seems to have no toggle option, there are just 3 buttons - power, mute, and some kind of display button that changes exactly what is shown on the screen. But there's no option that I can see to get to a settings or configuration menu.
