I have set-up the email notification following the below link.
https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FAQ000248750/
Model : BX950MI-GR
Software : PCSS
it is working well.
I want to know how it works?
the UPS needs to be connected to PC?
so the PCSS is sending the email notification through my PC network?
Then I can't receive the email notification when my PC is off?
What if I just connect the RJ45 cable to UPS only (not USB to my PC)
It can be working?
because I don't want to keep my PC running all the time.

If you want email notifications than the computer must be connecting to the UPS via USB cable. The computer running APC PCSS software must remain operating to have email alerts functioning.
