According to http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8979 (and a host of other documentation) in order for me to update systemip under NetworkTCP/IP via a config.ini upload I have to have an Override setting in the file as well.
I'm able to ftp down the config.ini from the PDU (to preserve the current override setting which contains the host mac address), update the systemip setting and then upload it back to my PDU. However, its not accepting the SystemIP setting (invalid value setting in the logs) at all.
Question, what are the allowed values for the Override setting? Do the settings in config.ini need to be in a specific order for this to work (Override needs to be the first setting in the section, etc)?
Thanks.

override needs to equal the MAC address of the PDU you are uploading to. you also need to have the section name at the top.
for example,
]NetworkTCP/IP[ (this is the section and i reversed the brackets so the forum didnt format it.
Override=00 C0 B7 51 5A 89
SystemIP=10.10.10.10

When I download the config.ini from the PDU, the default in the override setting is the Mac address. If that's the case, I should be able download the file via Perl script, change the IP, and then reupload it back to the PDU without seeing an error. Is Override by default set to the MAC or do I have to change it as well before I upload it back?

I think I figured it out... Normally in INI files, settings can be in any order. In the case of the PDU's the Override setting has to be the first setting in the NetworkTCP/IP section. This removed the errors I was seeing around the SystemIP, SubnetMask, DefaultGateway and BootMode settings.
