Help - Getting unwanted email notifications for E0105 UPS Passed a self-test

I have an NMC2 running v6.0.6 FW in a Smart-UPS RT 8000 RM XL. I have been working on the notification configuration and somehow it is sending notifications to all configured enail recipients whenever it successfully completes a self-test. The event code is 0x0105. What is odd is this event is not exposed in the Web GUI as far as I can see, only the Self-Test started (0x0137) or the RFC1628 MIB UPS test completed (0x3603). I do have notifications configured for self-test failed (0x0106) but the test is passing OK.

I tried configuring all Informational group events, selecting all the email users then selecting "Disable notifications" but this has not fixed the issue.

I downloaded the config file and assuming the events marked as "0xXXXX" in the GUI match up with the events marked as "EXXXX" in the config they are configured as follows:

; UPS: Passed a self-test.

E0105=ES,E[:::],T[:::::],P[:::]

; UPS: Self-Test Failed

E0106=ES,E[:+-05S-60M-1:+-05S-60M-1:+-05S-60M-1],T[+-05S+60M-1:::::],P[:::]

; UPS: RFC1628 MIB UPS test completed.

E3603=E,E[:::],T[:::::],P[:::]

Can you please advise how i stop this unwanted behavior?

Thanks,

Daniel.

Your answer/disclaimer is here -> Network Management Card Device IP Configuration Wizard Error: This IP address could not be set. | FA...

And I just remembered I need to update that one too for v6.X.X firmware too. cry

It should hopefully be good enough to still address it for you while the body of the article explains the caveat with adjusting/disabling this self test passed event which we call a clearing event (since clears Self test failed).

Update (Dec 3): I had time this morning to update the article to apply to v6.X.X. Let me know if any issues.

Your link is to an article about running the Device IP Configuration Wizard to set the IP address and does not appear to pertain to my issue of clearing the Self Test email notifications. Am I missing something here?

Thanks,

Daniel.
