We configured the unit as above - hit Apply and the UPS rebooted bringing down the entire server infrastructure. We had to restore Exchange SGs from AppAssure - caused 6 hours of lost business. Could have been much worse - could have lost ERP and web services.
Surely just the network card should reboot?

I forgot - how did you access the card to configure the settings? Via a serial cable connection through the UPS or connected to the 2.5mm jack on the card itself, the device IP configuration wizard, etc?

This should never happen and only the NMC should reboot.
Can you get me the log files from this Network Management Card to look at please? Event.txt, data.txt, and config.ini? (Instructions here -> How can I download Event, Data, Configuration, and Debug files from my Network Management Card? | FA...) I will see what I can tell from there but I have never seen this type of thing in my 7 years working with these products unless something else was going on. Anyway, the log files will give me a good start.
Thanks!
