Galaxy VS UPS

Does anyone else have issues with the Schneider Galaxy VS Power Interruption Generator. Our UPS (PIG?) generates power interruptions and does not protect us from any interruptions.

Hello Rich1,

I work on tech support and just saw your comment.  It definitely sounds like there is something going wrong with your Galaxy VS UPS.  The unit is supposed to provide a seamless transition to battery backup power when there is a loss or bad utility power.  When you have a chance could you call my team at 800-800-4272?  We can run through the menus with you and check on the health of the unit.  If needed we can work to get a technician out to your site as well.

Thanks so much.
 
I have been in contact with Schneider many times and have had many tech visits. It quite frankly comes down to Schneider does not stand behind its products or its words.
 
Schneider blames the problems on incoming power quality. I understand the arguments, but mine is simple.
 
I bought a UPS to provide power when incoming power has a problem, not to shut off power to my system when incoming power has a problem.
 
I bought a UPS to fix power interruptions, not to create them.
 
There is no argument that can be made that the problems are not created by the UPS or that it is functioning as intended.
 
The other UPS that we have do not have the same design flaws.
 
Schneider is great at blaming the issue on others for the faulty product we received.
 
I am happy to provide the lengthy details of this failure if desired

Hello Rich1,

Any UPS is certainly designed to provide power during interruptions and I understand your frustrations.  I do know that in order for this UPS to work there needs to be proper neutral and ground connections for the inverters to work properly.  Obviously I do not know the circumstances surrounding your specific issues but if you could get me your UPS serial I could look into this further with engineering.
