There are five possible options depending upon the specific APC UPS hardware.

The recommended method is directly using the supplied proprietary RJ50 - RS232 Serial cable via the FUW (Firmware Update Wizard).

The FUW will automatically detect the UPS ID of your system and present you with the correct UPS Firmware.

Do (NOT) browse the folder and select any other file unless you know what you’re doing.

UPS Firmware should be performed live over the phone with APC Technical Support while the hardware is (IN) warranty. ☝️

As updating any APC UPS Firmware is a high risk endeavour and can leave you with a bricked system.

Read and fully understand all requirements and prerequisite as outlined in the UPS Firmware FAQ linked above.

Your specific APC SKU supports updating the UPS Firmware via the Smart Connect (Cloud Portal Service) once enrolled.

If there is any doubt regarding your Internet connectivity. DO NOT use this method to update the system because you’ll be left with a very expensive paper weight.
