Hi. I saw that there was firmware for several fixed CVE's and ripple20 vulnerabilities for my APC AP7932 metered PDU, document # 990-3571E_EN.pdf AP78xx Metered Rack PDUs and AP79xx Switched Rack PDUs (schneider-electric.com) apc_hw02_aos_394.bin is the file I read about. I went on the APC website and went to support, downloads, Software/Firmware and put in the model of my APC unit, AP7932, it only lists the tool
to download. It does not list any firmware downloads for my unit. Where can I get all the firmware for this unit so I can upgrade it? Also, do you have to update the firmware in steps, like each version 1 by 1, or can you go from really old firmware to the newest in one step?
Other thing, in the document it talks about using the IP Configuration tool, is that to flash the firmware or can I do that via the web interface or SSH? What is the correct procedure to update the firmware using the self signed certificate.
Thanks,
Lyle Epstein

Thanks. The link you sent me for the firmware, where do I get previous versions? Also, you didn't answer me on the firmware upgrades if I need to do them in steps or go from very old to the newest in one step.
The link you sent me for how to upgrade the firmware does not apply to my model per the link. If I wish to use the network card firmware utility, where do I get that at as when I select my product it does not list other software to download other then the security certificate maker as I had stated in my original post.
Thanks.

The FAQ article that I have shared covers the different upgrade procedures for our NMC 1, 2, and 3. Depending on the APC Product (UPS, rPDU, ATS, etc) the network management card (NMC) installed could be anyone from the generations mentioned above.
Regarding the firmware, if it is an NMC1-based (AP9617/18/19) product if you are coming from firmware v1.5 you have to upgrade first to v2.0 before moving to the latest firmware. With the NMC2 (AP9630/31/35) and NMC3 (AP9640/41), in my experience, you can upgrade to the latest firmware available.
Regarding the network upgrade utility, if you are using an NMC1-based product the utility is NMC Upgrade Tool which is a command prompt/CLI base tool. The GUI-based upgrade utility is for NMC2 and NMC3, these utilities are already included in the self-extraction firmware file.
I am sorry to hear about the issues that you are having in navigating our website, I am going to forward this to our Web Team. The easiest way is for you to provide the model and current firmware that you have on the PDU and we will provide you with the latest firmware available.
