Hi,
I have couple of Rackmount smart ups in my corporate env. I have installed the PCNS on the Windows Servers and their shutdown behaviour is tested successfully. Now, I have couple of Linux Servers also and i was able to somewhat install the PCNS on them and the server's IP was automatically registered in the NMC.I am not good in Linux, please guide me to do the following:
- How do I give the command file parameters on a shutdown behavior in linux? Please provide me an example (the syntax i mean)
- To configure the command file, there are two places. One in the 'Configure Shutdown' and other in the Configure events. Which is effective and what is the purpose of these two places with same function?
Thanks for your helpful comments

basheerpt,
APC does not assist with the creation of a command file due to the OS not being an APC "product". We offer the ability in our software, but you will need to research the syntax for shutting down a Linux system via command file through the OS provider or support forums, etc.
Check the following sources, for example:
http://linux.about.com/od/commands/l/blcmdl8_shutdow.htm

As for your other question:
