Hi APC and fellow APC UPS users. Need some desperate help.
Just installed a standby unit (fujitsu Siemens branded APC) that was sitting around for a new environment and upon switching it on I get the following error:
"UPS: A battery bus soft start fault exists."
I have upgraded Network Monitoring 2 card to latest firmware but still getting the error.
I have tried self test on the UPS - but says "refused" via web GUI and front panel. If I was to remove the mains power, the UPS switches off straight away- even though the battery is showing 100% charged and 1hr+ available battery time.
The UPS comes with a 3 year warranty- but i think i may have passed that period (need to dig out receipt from emails).
Where do I stand as its probably had less than few days of usage for something that cost me £1200+ GBP.

If those batteries are three years old, then they're dead. Anything over 6 months is pushing it.
