External bypass/breaker settings SmartUPS VT 30 kva
Yesterday we were having batteries replaced and the technician noticed that Q1, Q2, and Q3 on the external panel were set to on. He told us that was wrong and that Q3 should be set to off. Unfortunately, I was not in the office to ask questions so I'm working on second hand information. On further review, I discovered that Q3 was set to off until last month when we had a power outage during a storm. The person who was in the office set it to on because nothing in the server room was coming up. Did some research and wanted to find out three things:
If Q3 is set to On, are we bypassing the UPS completely?
Why would the systems not come up without the bypass all of a sudden?
