Hello
I am a wireman required to shunt the outputs of multiple APC 3000 UPS. I saw in the Literature to use the EPO SELV contacts on the back of the unit.
I would like to use one normally open contact to shunt MULTIPLE units at once. Is this possible without harming the units? I know the EPO SELV contacts will work for a single unit.
Your input would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi Bob,
If it is the EPO that you are going to use to turn off the units, make sure that the connections are not daisy chained. Each UPS should have its own dedicate wire going to a contact on the EPO. Improper wiring might cause unexpected shutdown on your UPS.
