Hi there,
Does the APC Easy UPS SMV1500CAI support connection of external battery packs for extended runtime?
If so, what is the part number for the external battery pack?
Thanks
Isaac

I don’t believe this specific model supports extended battery packs.
You can easily confirm by looking at the back of the unit to see if there is a battery input port which will have a DC Input rating spanning 48 ~ 192 VDC.
You can use the APC Product Selector in your region to determine what specific models support extended battery packs as seen here for North America:
https://www.apc.com/ca/en/product-range/61917-smartups-battery-systems/?No=36&Nrpp=12#products
The models I’m familiar with supporting extended battery packs are the following UPS Series: XB, SMX, SRT, SUA, SUM SURT.
Let me know what you find on the back of your unit as I didn’t see it supported in the User Manual. 👍
