Does a plan roll over to a new UPS if the old one dies?
We are considering buying the advanced package for our UPS. We were going to buy the 5 year plan to get a better deal but were wondering what would happen if the UPS we have right now breaks/dies? Can we transfer the plan onto another UPS?

You’ll need to be more specific as to what plan you’re talking about?!? Extended Warranty Plan? Smart Connect Plan?
Regardless, if the hardware should fail and be replaced under APC Warranty. You would need to contact APC Technical Support to help facilitate the transfer of coverage to the new hardware serial number.
The replacement device would need to be registered first in your APC account before reaching out to support.
NOTE: In the past the APC Warranty Statement said if you needed the same hardware (Serial Number) to be returned during the RMA process that this be made known during the initial contact. I call this out because this isn’t something that actually happens these days due to various reasons.
