Discharged Battery on a Smart-UPS 1500 RM

Hi everyone,

my trusted Smart-UPS 1500 RM (SUA1500RMI2U) is driving me crazy!

All of a sudden the lights on the right, that indicate the charge level, started to blink intermittently.

The log shows the following error:

Critical Alarm 1 Critical Alarm Present

Discharged Battery

Last battery change was in 2022, so I thought it would be a good idea to change the batteries.

New pack, same problem.

I don't know what to do!

Self test is OK

The "discharged battery" error shows up only when load at 40% or more.

Please help me, I beg you!

You can start with completing a Brain Dead procedure as outlined by this APC Resource Link:

Once complete update the battery installation date via Power Chute software. Next manually initiate a Self Test and let the battery recover to 100%.

Lastly, manually initiate a battery calibration via Power Chute with at least 30% attached load. Let the process complete and allow the battery to fully recharge to 100%.

What happens?!?
