Difference between SURT2000XLI, SRC2000XLI & Harsh Environment Model

Hi!

I guess this isn't an easy question, but what are the differences between the SURT2000XLI and SRC2000XLI in terms of how they regenerate their power? The SRC model has two extra power outputs and some additional connections at the back, but why the need for a model that is twice the width just for those functions? Despite that, they seem to weigh the same. The SRC model appears to be 1% less efficient, but other than that, they seem to have identical power performance stats from input voltages to their output figures. Any key internal working differences between the units in terms of power itself? Different switching frequency perhaps? I don't think I'll need the additional connections the SRC model has over the SURT model so I'm only interested in the power aspects.

2nd question: What's the difference between teh SRC2000XLI and the SRC2000XLI-CC (Harsh Environment) models? Again, anything fundamentally different about how they regenerate their power? Different switching frequency? All three models have identical input voltage ranges, Hz specifications and so on...

Thank you in advance for answers. The product pages give no explanation about how the Harsh Environment model is different or why it's needed over the standard model.

Hello,

Here is some information I can provide to you.

See some attached PDFs on RT and RC. I put some duplicate info since I am not sure which region you're located in. (I think it's ultimately the same information though).

On the harsh environment SKU, the only real difference is that it uses a conformal coating on the internal PCB boards to help improve reliability when faced with dust, humidity, etc. They are very popular in developing countries like India where units are installed in all kinds of locations exposed to dust, humidity and similar.

That's some excellent information!

Thank you for the trouble Angela! I hope the harsh environment model's webpage will be updated to reflect the differences between it and the standard models. I was actually under the impression that "harsh environment" meant harsh electrical power environment (like lots of power spikes, distortions and disruptions, not a harsh air/dust/humidity environment!).

Good day!
