New to APC PDU management, we have a centralized manager at our main location with rack mounted PDU's, we also have rack mounted PDU's at our co-location. Can the single InfraStruXure Manager manage both locations across our WAN?
I am reading over the documentation, and nothing is popping out at me about this. Also, a quick forum search didnt reveal anything either.
If anyone has a similiar setup, I would love to hear about it.
Thank you!
Maurice

During my testing, I've never used ISX Manager's private network. I've just added devices over the production network. As long as your devices have static IP addresses and aren't blocked by firewalls or whatnot, I don't see a problem.

Hi Maurice,
I am not an ISX Manager expert but I have asked around and was told that as long as they are on the same network it could work. If you already the ISX Manager, see what happens if you add those devices.

Thanks Jon, appreciate the feedback.
Has anyone eliminated the APC provided network switch (192.168 private pdu network) with your own network switch? We wanted to put the PDUs on the production network, and make them available to the InfraStruxure Manager. This would be PDUs in two seperate locations, but on the same network.
I don't see a problem with this from my perspective, anyone else?
Thank you!
