Hi Support,
I have problem accessing to Ap9640 console connected to SMT3000RMI2U ups. I am able to ping to Ap9640 and receive email alerts but just not able to access to the console. Not sure what was stopping me from accessing on the browser.
Before this, the UPS was configured by the installer using direct Lan connection via laptop.
Any specific ports needed to be opened or any settings needed to be tweak on Edge browser?
Thankyou

What do you see on the web browser using the NMC IP Address?!? What error codes are declared on the page?
Have you tried connecting to the NMC via SSH? I ask because HTTP / HTTPS may be disabled by the installer.
Report back what you observe as to the two questions posed. 👍

browser returned error "hmmm, cant reach this page" x.x.x.x ip took too long to respond
Before i changed to correct nmc ip under a difft vlan, I able to login to nmc but email cant get thru bcos later i realised i entered a wrong ip under a difft vlan. Now after I entered a correct Ip, email can get thru but just that can't login to nmc via browser. I suspect its the firewall that was blocking & I need ot know what ports nmc are using.
Thankyou

Keep this simple and connect directly to the NMC with a laptop. If you can’t connect using a cross over cable this has nothing to do with a firewall.
The NMC ports are the standard ones unless they were changed for HTTP / HTTPS (80/443).
Use the APC Serial cable and see if you can SSH into the system assuming it’s enabled. You may find HTTP / HTTPS is disabled.
Lastly, you’ll want to check the TLS 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 encryption is set correctly and your web browser is defined as well for web access.

Can you ping the device now that it is on the new VLAN?

Yes able to ping but just not able to login thru NMC web console. Its something to do with the firewall blocking. Anyhow i plug my laptop to same vlan as the nmc and able to login to webconsole. Only https & ssh is enabled.
We can close this. Thanks
