Hey guys, we bought an APC SUA5000 and my electrician don´t know how to connect it to the power grid. The UPS has 3 connectors: L1, L2/N and ground. His plan was to connect the first phase with L1, the second phase with L2 and the neutral conductor and the ground wire to the ground port. If he turns on the UPS, the fuse (16A) triggers off and there is no voltage. He checked both phases, both are ok. Now he connected the UPS as follows: The first phase with L1, the neutral conductor to L2 and the ground wire to the ground port. This setting works and he wants to leave it, but is it ok as well? Because with this setting i can´t reach the complete power usage because the fuse of on phase is 16A (3600W). I try to call APC, but they say the electrician have to know it.
And now the question, how is the correct setting with two phases? It seems there is no port for the neutral conductor, if he connects both phases. Thanks a lot for any help.

Hi, we now connected it with three electric wires (one phase) with only 16A. My electrician says, with 1 phase are only 16A possible. Now my maximum power usage is reduced to only 3680W (4000W is the maximum of the ups) but that´s ok, because we have only 5-8 A of usage.
It´s not the best solution, but the only possible solution that my electrician offers.
