Hello Erin. The condenser can be suspended but there are a few considerations to watch out for. First, these units are hard piped so the condenser will need to be secured so it does not swing back and forth as this will crack the piping. Second, make sure there is enough room around the condenser to allow proper airflow and above the unit to prevent backpressure on the fan, and below the unit to allow enough air to get to it. Also hanging the condenser will make it more difficult to perform maintenance on the unit.
Thank you
