Can we use a SURT 8000XLT in a 240/415 50hz building

I need a definitive answer to this. A contractor has installed several SURT 8000XLT in cabinets located in buildings that are powered by 240/425 50 hz. They are not wired up yet. When I look at the specs of this UPS, I am led to think that it is designed for North America and should be on a split phase 120/208 circuit. Before I tell the contractor that he screwed up and should have bought SURT8000RMXLI units, I want to make sure that there is no way of using the SURT 8000XLT units in this setup. If there is a way to wire them up using single phase 240VAC power, please let me know. Thank you very much.

well by design SURT8000XLT is designed for NAM which is generally the H, H, G but since these systems are similar, the H, N, G is ok because as long as it gets 240, it doesnt really care. but yes, the output would be an issue i guess for your particular equipment because you cannot have it output the neutral, just the H, H, G. my understanding would be that there is no change to the capacity in kVA since the voltage is the same.

i asked our SURT expert here and got an answer.

as long as it is 240 H, N, G, the UPS should work. you will need to program the output to 240v though since the default is 208v. it will auto-sense 50Hz but if you coldstart thte unit off of its battery with no AC input, it works at 60Hz.

this UPS always outputs two hot legs that if you measure across them will be 240v but measuring each leg along will not be balanced - i.e. maybe 130v and 110v or similar. so you cant wire them to a 120v panel for instance. then you will have your ground connection as well in the output.

if you put the unit into bypass though, just watch out since i am not sure what you are attaching to this since it will pass through utility power to the load.

OK that is a "no" answer. It is possible to use one 240 phase, but the output would not be something I would risk mission critical equipment on. Would the output power also be only half or 4KVA? I'm telling them tomorrow to order the correct equipment. PS the wiring indicates 3 wires hot / hot and ground, no neutral.
