Cables/part numbers.....

Does APC have a listing of what cable part numbers go to what devices? I work in an enviroment where we use APC 700, 750, 1000, 1400, 2200, etc....models, and it seems like all UPS's ship with different model number cables.

Example 940-1524D or 940-0103 just two I have in front of me.....

Thank you
Jimmy

http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2396 and http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3061

that might help a bit.

basically 940-0024 (6') or 940-1524 (15') is the smart signaling cable used for UPS-Link based UPSs. This includes all older Smart UPS beginning with SU or SUA as well as Symmetra PX, Symmetra LX, Smart UPS RT (not SURTD units), etc

new microlink based units use 940-0625A or 940-1525A. The letters at the end of all cables are just revision letters when we make a minor change to the cable or its updated for some reason.

940-1000 or 940-1500 is a straight through cable in 6' or 15' respectively.

940-0103 is a null modem cable for the most part. It is used with environmental monitoring units like AP9320, AP9340, and even ACF400 I think.

Rack PDUs use 940-0144A.

940-0020 is a simple signaling cable.

i don't have a master list besides that. i hope that helps.
