after login to the PDU AP8800 series, the commend "alarmcount" will display the number of alarms if exist, is there a corresponding SNMP object that can provide the same info, example:
apc>alarmcount
E000: Success
AlarmCount: 1
thanks,
sam,

I was asking if the alarm count can be obtained by SNMP, basically, a SNMP query will return indicating if there is an alarm of any kind,
Thanks,

Hello,
The Rpdu can reports any raised alarms using the SNMP traps to any third party SNMP server ,you can just only enable the SNMP protocol whether it is V1 or V3 from the NMC and Rpdu will start to send traps based on events that raised from the OIDs

Thanks Karim, I understand your suggestions, but we are looking specifically for SNMP query for the alarms (either exist or none),

Hello,
Yes,it exists ,we had our monitoring software Data center expert which can discover all APC devices using SNMP V1 or V3 as an example
https://www.se.com/uk/en/faqs/FA177081/
https://www.se.com/uk/en/faqs/FA383129/
and detect and display all alarms that raised by the APC devices including Rpdu in the server view dashboard and able to read and write data using SNMP

Karim
