Bug in firmware 7.1.8 for AP9630/9631

There is a bug in firmware v7.1.8 for AP9630/9631.

Only English works properly, and if you select a language other than English, you will experience problems such as incorrect translation/garbled characters/incorrect grammar/unknown characters.
This is reliable information as I have tested all languages ​​provided with firmware v7.1.8 through repeated firmware updates.

 

I contacted APC about this issue, but they told me to contact APC's local office. When I contacted APC's local office, they said that since the product is no longer supported, they cannot provide a solution.

 

APC posted an updated firmware after the support end date,
but I do not understand why APC uploaded an incorrect firmware and cannot provide support.

 

The English language of firmware v7.1.8 seems to work properly,
but since there are defects in other languages, I question the reliability of the firmware itself.

If there is a defect in the v7.1.8 firmware, APC will not take responsibility for it and will not fix it. I was very disappointed about this and downgraded to the long-used and proven version 7.1.2 because I was afraid that there might be another bug.

Regarding NMC 2,we will continue to release new firmware version to enforce the security protection for this platform, we already introduce the NMC3 instead that had better features and enhanced hardware topology  and it implements NMC subscription licenses to get the full benefits required ,based on the UPS model ,you can check if it supports NMC3 AP9640/AP9641  as per the below link

please refer to the below brochure that explains how the new NMC 3 licenses resolves new firmware due to   abandoned upgrades by the users that allow security breaching of the NMC
