Using the LCD Menu / NMC / Smart Connect to determine the battery installation date assumes the information is correct and not faked.
The battery cartridge has a service life of 2-5 years which is based on usage, temperature, and environmental conditions.
All of the cartridges and individual cells will have a production sticker. This is the ONLY true indicator as to a date of manufacture.
Not when it was installed, not how much life is left available in the cartridge (RBC). Only a static & dynamic load test which should be performed at least once a year is a true indicator.
If this is a serious installation you will have carbon pile load testers, conductance meter, and a Fluke certified multi meter to validate the other important criteria that is referenced to the battery data sheet.
