Battery replacement date much sooner than expected

I have just, 27 May 2025, replaced the battery in my SMC1000IC with an APCRBC142.  I have entered the date in the smart connect online platform.  Which now says battery replacement due 23 August 2025!  3 months.  This cannot be right.  Can you advise what life expectancy you would expect on battery after a new one installed.  Thank you

Does the LCD on the SMC UPS (About) indicate the battery installation date if so what is it?!?

As I recall this low end model doesn’t have the same abilities and features like the SMT, SMX, SRT.

The battery replaced flag is reset by following the steps outlined in page 11 & 13:

Complete the above steps and report back the results.
