BR1500MS is not working on AC power

Hello, i am reaching out of desperation!

i got BR1500MS and i moved to Europe...i bought it new and used it less than a month in USA and it was working great!

when i shipped the UPS, i followed the procedure and disconnected the battery! it took 2 months to get to the final destination!

When i plugged it in ( i got voltage converter 3000W 220 to 110) it turned on, but it works only in battery mode, wont switch to AC...

so basically its draining the battery..

if i turn it OFF and plug it IN..its getting charged (after few hours battery is full)

i tried every single trick found on the web, but no luck!

i got 2 more UPS units and they are working fine!

please someone?

Hi,

The UPS is designed to work with

Nominal Input Voltage
120V
Input frequency
60 Hz +/- 3 Hz
Not only do you need to changed the voltage in you must also change the frequency or the UPS will run on battery.

Hi Ivo,

Can you please try to perform a braindead on the UPS.

To do this, follow the below procedure;

1: Disconnect any attached load.

2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.

3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.

4: Push and hold the ""On"" button on the UPS for 5 seconds

5: Reconnect internal battery.

6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.

7: Turn UPS on.

Regards,

Tom

yeah, i guess i tried everything else but this...and i think this will be it!

i got 2 more units and APC smx1500 and Eaton...and they work great...i guess the are not so sensitive about the frequency as the BR1500

Thanks a lot for the reply, i think that solves the problem!
