Does APC have an accuracy rating for the ap9340? I am trying to use one as part of a Smart Home that I am configuring. This device will monitor the wine cellar, for humidity and temperature. The room is approximately 8 x 56. I am planning on using a TH probe at both ends, but will that be accurate enough for monitoring purposes? Help is appreciated. Thanks - BD

Thanks for answering so quickly. I can finally get the ball rolling on this project. This accuracy should be fine for what we are doing, its more of a convenience/show project rather than a precision controlled environment. Netbotz are too expensive, even for this client!
Many thanks ~~

Sorry, I cut and pasted the info from a manual and the info is a little garbled.
AP9335T/TH
Temperature accuracy 3F (2C), from 32 to 104F (0 to 40C)
Humidity accuracy 4% RH, 20 to 90% RH, at 77F (25C), 8% RH, 30 to 80% RH,from 59 to 95ºF (15 to 30C)
Sensor operating temperature 14 to 159F (0 to 70C)
AP9520T/TH
Temperature Accuracy 1.8F (1.0C)
Temperature Drift 0.36F (0.2C)/over life of unit
Humidity Accuracy (AP9520TH) 3.0% RH @ 25C
Humidity Drift (AP9520TH) 1.0% RH/5 years
Hope this helps.

Hello,
The AP9340 can utilize two different sensors, the AP9335T/TH and the AP9520T/TH. These are not precision sensors, but are still pretty accurate. In regards to the size of the room, 8 x 56, it depends on how accurate you need the readings to be. If 1-2 isn't enough, you can daisychain multiple sensors off the AP9340. The AP9335TH is considered a "local" sensor, meaning it connects to the unit direct. The distance on the cable is about 6-8 feet. However, the AP9520TH can cascade off of the Alink port, which communicates over Cat5 cabling. You can connect a total of (8) AP9520TH's off of the unit. Perhaps you could set up 8 different zones?
You could also check out the Netbotz environmental products to see how accurate their devices are.
Here are the specs on the two sensors.
AP9335T/TH
Temperature accuracy ± 3ºF (± 2ºC), from 32 to 104ºF (0 to 40ºC)
Humidity accuracy ±4% RH, 20 to 90% RH, at 77ºF (25ºC), ±8% RH, 30 to 80% RH,from 59 to 95ºF (15 to 30ºC)
Sensor operating temperature 14 to 159ºF (?10 to 70ºC)
AP9520T/TH
Temperature Accuracy* ± 1.8° F (1.0°C)
Temperature Drift* ± 0.36°F (0.2°C)/over life of unit
Humidity Accuracy (AP9520TH) * ± 3.0% RH @ 25°C
Humidity Drift (AP9520TH) * ± 1.0% RH/5 years
Hope this helps.
