APC Symmetra LX error "Bypass Relay failure" in Maintenance Mode
We are trying to put the Symmetra LX into Maintenance mode to change the IM. When we enter maintenance mode, the error "Bypass Relay failure" occurs right after setting the Maintenance Bypass switch. Is it safe to proceed with swapping the IM, or is there something else that needs to be done?

Hello,
SYMIM5 may exhibits intermittent faults (InternalVoltagesFault) and also lose the ability to hold the bypass contactor in the bypass position. If the UPS is in bypass or has entered bypass, "Bypass Relay Failure" may be displayed. The load can be dropped if the UPS enters temporary bypass, the UPS is commanded into bypass, or the UPS is taken out of maintenance bypass if bypass related faults are showing
The intelligence modules will need to be replaced if the system is under warranty. If the system is out of warranty, the customer must purchase them.
if the issue the same then visually inspect the AC slide tray to see if the bypass contactor(s) is stuck or there are any loose connections. Replace the slidetray if it is suspected that the contactor is bad.Bypass control and sense wires are connected to the AC slide tray and backplane via a Molex connector. It is possible that this connection is loose or not making good contact, reseat the slide tray in order to verify that the connection is OK. This will require a total power off of the Symmetra LX.
