do you have a network management card or powerchute business edition installed so that we can review the logs? if you have a network management card, see if you can get the logs following these instructions -> http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9321
if its business edition, you might need to copy and paste.
if you don't have anything monitoring it, it might be a good idea to install free powerchute business edition or install an NMC so we can see what the case is.
i would make sure that you don't have powerchute network shutdown installed on a server connected telling the UPS to turn off, no random serial cables attached between the UPS and nothing, and no jobs or tasks that run in your environment that could be causing the UPS to turn off.
does the 1500 have an LCD display? either way, do you catch any lights flashing on it at all?
the logs will probably be the most helpful resource in determining what's occurring.
