Recently I have heard the UPS beep and the first battery LED is flashing (first 2 Load LEDS are on constant which I'd expect) but could anyone inform me why the battery LED is flashing and only the first one?

yes, you can have a flashing battery graph, you can have just one LED flashing on the graph, or you can have the UPS beeping and on battery due to a low battery. i was just trying to ask if the on battery LED was on as well so we could see which situation it was before going in a certain direction.

that indicates the UPS has a low battery - after running on battery for a little while or if it lost input power and the UPS batteries don't last that long anymore.

this should be accompanied by the solid on battery LED as well - do you see that? it's amber and on the left hand side of the power button.

It doesnt have to be on battery to have the battery lights flash!!!

If the ups is on line and its still flashing the battery is going bad if you have a multimeter can you please tell us the voltage of the pack
