APC SMT1500IC
I am using my UPS (less than a year old) to support my home office and we have frequent load shedding of upto 2.5hrs, three times a day. My load is low c 25W for the fibre router and Apple Time Capsule Wifi Router as I usually power my iMac down beforehand (we know the load shedding schedule) and run off my laptop. Initially the UPS performed very well and comfortably got us through load shedding stints. The issue is that it is not even making 25min with no load ie everything unplugged - APC say I have a calibration issue. They sent me a link to this note:
In order to calibrate need a constant load of >30% which is tricky but now solved and 100% battery. It now refuses to recharge to 100% as had been stuck at 99% (longer than a day) - I have turned the UPS off during load shedding to stop it discharging. Any help to get it to 100% or to solve my challenge would be greatly appreciated.
Depending on how often you experience power distortion, when the UPS reaches 99%, it may stay at that rate for 16 to 24 hours. If there is no state of change, i.e., power fluctuation for 16 to 24 hours, the UPS will report 100%. If there is a change within the time (even a monetary issue), UPS will not report a 100% charge, and the counter will begin again.
