APC PowerChute UPS redundancy (via NMC)

Hello everybody!

I have to install APC PowerChute on all servers. I have one APC UPS-SURT8000XLI mounted for each racks connected through NMC to my network (LAN). I wish to have redundancy between the UPS. I described my problems in the following pictures:

that should answer your questions. As for shutting the domain controller down last, that can be done by either setting either the on battery event or by allowing the system to wait for low battery. Example: configure none essential server to shutdown when UPS have been on battery for 10 minutes and the domain controller to shutdown when UPS have been on battery for 20 minutes.

You should also read the PCNS help file section on redundant UPS configuration and critical events.
