APC BN1050-CN alternating on line and overload leds
I've got an APC UPS BN1050-CN that's constantly alternating between the "on line" (green) and "overload" (red) LEDs. This FAQ article says it's because the APC is in the sleep state - which was set by the management software. I don't have an RJ45 > USB A cable, so I'm unable to actually plug it into anything to test this theory. So my question is twofold.
- Is there a place to purchase the RJ45 > USB A cable? A model number, perhaps? Or would I be able to use a standard ethernet cable (RJ45 > RJ45)?
- The FAQ suggests power cycling the UPS, which I have done several times - both with and without the battery connected. I also tried holding the power button down for ~5-10 seconds (akin to a hard power cycle on a PC/Server), and was able to get the On Battery (orange), Overload (red), and Replace Battery (red) LEDs to blink simultaneously every second or so. Any thoughts on this?
