I have 4 APC AP9226 rackmounted power bars with AP9606 Web Management cards installed. I been able to access all the 4 Power bars though the com port using hyperterm. I can access all features as long as I am using hyperterm via serial cable. So the power bars seem to be working. Through hyperterm I can configure the IP's and change network settings, turn outlets off and on. My assumption would be faulty WEB Management card, but on all 4 units not likely. When I hookup the the network cable and access the bar via internet explorer I get page can not be displayed. The option for web access is enabled on port 80. What is strange is I can disconnect the serial cable and access the bar Via FTP at a COMMAND PROMPT (ftp is done through the netwok management card on port 21). So I guess I answered my question "does the network connection work" YES, but if I try to access via FTP through the web browser it challenges me for the password, which I put in and click OK to, but then displays a "can not display web page" just like the page when I try to access through the browser.
I have upgrade the firmware files aos254.bin to aos258b.bin and msp200.bin to msp205a.bin with the same results.
I also tried a cross over cable directly connect to the unit from the computer, just in case the router was doing something funny. No luck there also.

Hi Marc,
Do you have a SmartUPS unit wherein we could install this AP9606? If you do, we can try to access the card using Hyperterminal with 2400, 8, None, 1, None as the port settings. See if we could get any response using this method. I think this can also be done with your AP9226.
