Hello everybody. I have an issue with AP7954. When I try tologin it puts out this message in web browser "
Error: The application was not able to load. |
You are attempting to access an APC device. There was a problem loading the application. Please login to the device via telnet for more details. |
"
When I telnet to the PDU and go to option 1 - Device manager, I don't get anything. It looks like there is no APP files on the PDU.
Is there any solution for this?
Beste regards,
Nebojša

You have the same problem as here, just with a different device: http://forums.apc.com/spaces/7/ups-management-devices-powerchute-software/forums/general/10665/recei...
You'll want to download the AOS 3.7.4/rpdu 3.7.4 firmware and try to re-flash the device and see if that works. After trying that, go into Telnet and go to System->About System on your device and provide the output of what is shown.
http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm is where you can get the firmware go to Filter by Software/Firmware -> Firmware upgrades - Rackmount Power Distribution and you need SFRPDU374 file. Instructions are in that other post on firmware upgrades as well which links to our knowledgebase.

Thanks for the reply. Because this is a live PDU, will firmware re-flash interrupt power supply on sockets?

No, it won't unless in the rare circumstance that the unit is in fault but we can't tell because of the firmware issue. Does the front display say Er on it? If not, it is likely safe to move forward.

The links do not work any more. Searching by Model, firmware etc comes up with nothing.
I have an AP7954 with originally Rack PDU APP v2.6.5, which I flashed with v3.9.2 and it broke as described by other posters here (Stat : P+ N+ A-).
Is AOS 3.7.4/rpdu 3.7.4, or even my original apc_hw02_rpdu_265.bin available somewhere?
Thanks
