Dear all
I am new in forum and I am not shure the right place for this message.
I have an old APC 3000 SU3000 INET, I open the case and the batteries are in bad condition.
I take it out.
Now before buying a new pack of batteries, I would to know if the APC is working (it was stopped for a long time)
I connect the power to the APC (witout batteries) but no signal in leds
This unit only works with batteries, or it should turn on even without batteries?
How can repair it, it has some protection fuses? I open but I could not find any fuses.
Only at back a thermal switch but it is ok (NC)
I would appreciate some help before put it on trash
best regrds

Mmmm i recomend you to get batteries but if you have any 24v DC that support 20amper you can test the ups . You need to put 24v in both two connectors un ups.

hi , that ups doesn't turn on without batteries, first test your batteries , in the connector you need to have 24v in each pack , after that connect the batteries and try to turn on ( only with the batteries) pressing the "on" button for 2 seconds , tell me if that works or if your ups doesn't do nothing,

Dear Cristian
Thanks for your repply.
As ups was stopped more than 2 or 3 years the batteries are totally dead...
I am afraid to buy new batteries and ups does not work
Is any way to input about 50V DC with a power supply in batteries connector to simulate it only to see if ups is alive? Or it is not possible?
Best
