AP9631 Firmware update question

Hi,

I have 4 x AP9631 smart UPS systems in my infrastructure. Two of them are reporting warmstarts several times a week. I want to rule out anything to do with firmware updates and have taken a look at the downloads. It appears there are two updates that would be applicable to my AP9631 units:

UPS Network Management Card v6.2.0 Firmware for Symmetra 1-Phase with AP9630/31

Network Management Card v5.1.6 Firmware for Symmetra 3-Phase with AP9630/31

I want to make sure that I am applying the correct update. Please excuse my ignorance but these units are very new to me and I am not sure which one should be used.

Hi, APC has a few different apps depending on which UPS you are using. If you find you've put the wrong app on the card, it's not a problem. You can later load in the right app and it'll work fine.

The information you've provided says your card is running the SUMX app, which is used for SmartUPS line of UPSes. You want:

UPS Network Management Card v6.2.0 Firmware for Smart-UPS & Galaxy 3500 with AP9630/31

SFSUMX620

Once you are upgraded, v6.2.0 has some debugging capability if the warmstarts (which will be renamed to System: Network Interface Restarted in the version you upgrade to) are still occurring.
