Hi,
I have an existing AP9626 step down transformer and purchased an SMX3000HVTUS. The receptacle on the SMX3000HVTUS is an L6-20R, but the plug on the AP9626 is an L6-30P. Is it ok to use an adapter here?
Is it supported to daisy chain an AP7801B PDU to the AP9626 when the power cables from some of the devices can't reach the AP9626?

To your question on the adapter. No you never want your down stream device to potentially use more amperage than the up stream device can issue. If your step-down was a 20A plug and the UPS had a 30A outlet then it would be OK. Also the UPS is only rated for 20A input.
To your second question "Is it supported to daisy chain an AP7801B PDU to the AP9626 when the power cables from some of the devices can't reach the AP9626?" I am assuming what you are asking is that if you could connect the AP9626 to the SMX3000HVTUS. then you want to connect an AP7801B PDU to the AP9626, and then connect devices to that. If that is what you are saying then yes. Step downs are only for converting the output power of the UPS (or Supply) to your needed voltage. from there you can add a PDU to control the outlets or the like. If it helps think of the UPS and stepdown as one device that can handle a max of the input plug amps.
