Hi all,
We have a SURT5000XLI with an AP9619 with external temp sensor in a comms room.
This particular room has environmental issues, and I would like the UPS to power itself off or drop its load if the temperature goes above a certain threshold in order to protect itself and other equipment.
Within the AP9619 config I can set various temperature thresholds, but I am having trouble finding any actions to configure (other than alerting).
Does anyone know how to do this? This is a comms room rather than a server room, so it has switch equipment/telephony (nothing which could have PCNS installed onto it)
Thanks
Rob

PowerChute is one option to do this. You cannot initiate the shutdown with the management card alone for this type of thing. Beyond configuring a PowerChute client to shutdown on a temperature out of range event, you could do this via the dry contacts on the AP9619 if your device(s) has dry contact connections to tell them to turn off. There is an output relay that can open/closed based on a temperature alarm so that may be an option to somehow turn the UPS off with an external switch possibly too.
