Hello,
I've accidently upgraded an AP9617 NMC1 to the Smart UPS firmware while in a Masterswitch. What can I do to replace the proper firmware back into the AP9617? Thank you.

Everything I know tells me AP9211 only shipped with an AP9606. Did you replace the AP9606 with an AP9617 in the AP9211 or something? It might work with the ms app (for masterswitch instead of masterswitch plus which is the msp) but anything we load or try on it would just be a guess. I am not sure what this is for but it might work -> ftp://ftp.apc.com/apc/public/hardware/mswitch/firmware/rpdu/v220/ and it appears to be intended for AP9617 - I am just not sure what units it works with. My gut tells me it is intended for AP78XX or AP79XX Rack PDUs (which replaced the MasterSwitch products a little over 10 years ago).

Ok. I'd just verify what NMC (AP9606 or AP9617) is installed in the device's management card slot to avoid issues.

There is a AP9617 in the AP9211 - verified the other night. Thanks.

Oh, ok. I just don't know what's going to happen with the AP9606 firmware on the AP9606 - if it will even go and if it goes and doesn't work, if it will come off. I assume it will be able to be reflashed.. I'd try the rpdu one first.

You should be able to just re-flash it manually via FTP or any other manual method by following the NMC1 instructions in article ID FA156047 @ http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq/ - make sure to do AOS first, and then the application file second.
If you don't have the correct firmware, let me know what model of masterswitch it is and I'll see if I can find the files.

I have two Masterswitches here. The one with the NMC1 in it currently is an AP9211, the other is a AP9225.
I can't locate the application file for the AP9211.
The latest I have for the AP9225 is apc_hw02_aos264_msp262
Thank you for your help.

My notes tell me this:
AP9211/12 - MS2 - AP9606
AOS: aos303.bin
APP: ms220.bin
I see those files both here -> ftp://ftp.apc.com/apc/public/hardware/mswitch/firmware/ms/v220/
Are you familiar with using FTP to upgrade these manually (or the AP9211 anyway)? You can follow the instructions here for AP9606 for FTP if you need it: How do I upgrade the firmware on an APC Network Management Card? | FAQs | Schneider Electric US
And for AP9225, that is the latest file.

So there's no firmware available for the AP9617 to run in the AP9211?
I've updated the firmware on the AP9606, AP9617 and AP9630 series cards before, yes. Just could have sworn that I had the AP9617 running in the AP9211 switch before. Thank you for your time.
