AP9320 EMS with AP9520TH Sensors

Hi,

I've inherited an AP9320 EMS with a couple of AP9520TH sensors. They are correctly cabled, both have unique addresses and are terminated as per the manual.

They both have power and they cycle through the temperature and humidity display. I do not see them on the AP9320 EMS

Should they be reporting back into the EMS or are they purely meant to act standalone sensors powered from the EMS?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

The menu option/drill down I described is from the front panel....looks like you were going in on the web interface.

On the web interface the sensors should show up under "Environment" ---> "Environmental probes".... as "Rem Env Probe  xyz".. (unless you rename them). As probes are added to or disconnected to the A-link port you should get an indication on the LCD and via email (from the management interface) of that.

Are you running the latest firmware version  AOS v2.6.4  /  ems v2.6.7 ?

Another thing that is diagnostic to look at is go into "Events" and check the appliances log - you should see entries according to when A-link devices are added or disconnected...

You should definitely be able to see them on the AP9320's screen, under  ESC -> Temp/Humid --> Env Probe Status ---> they should show up as Remote probes with ID"s R1, R2, etc.  have you got their daisy chain plugged into one or the other of the two  "A-Link" connector on the 9320 ?

Thanks for responding.

I don't see the menu option "ESC -> Temp/Humidity".

I see Environment, Input Contacts, Output Relays, Beacon, Sensors and Outlets. None of which list these two sensors.

The sensors are cabled correctly. On the AP9320 the top A-Link port goes to sensors, the bottom A-Link port is terminated. Both sensors have their own unique address. The final sensor is terminated via the output port.

I'm running the latest firmware available for the AP9320. We purchased the additional sensors as we were told they were compatible with this EMS.

Thanks.
