I have an AP9225 that has an AP9619 in it running:
Network Management Card AOS v2.6.4
MSP APP v2.6.2
Upon logging in, I see a note that says "MS plus 1 : Serial Communication Lost", and while I see outlets present with configuration listed, no settings I adjust hold. I can't use the NMC updater app, but I can manually FTP. I switched up to a newer AOS and application app for UPS (which loaded) and then I switched back to the 2.6.4 AOS 2.6.2 and MSP App. My settings are still shown with outlets, and despite asking to restore my settings under tool, they still show. Is there anything I can do to refresh the system? I have the exact same config on another AP9225 and it works great. Thanks!

Hi again,
yes, with the Network Management Cards, depending on the application, when you lose communication to the device, sometimes the web will not display any info or displays lost communication or lost serial communication like you see. So that behavior between telnet and web sounds normal.
I don't know of a way to do this direct to the device. Today, this is something we typically replace the modern PDU devices for since I don't think you can serial or talk direct to the AP9225. I don't have one of these either unfortunately to poke around with. I don't know more than the user manual personally on this particular unit since it was before my time here

Can you swap the AP9619 or Network Management Cards between units to see if it follows the Network Management Card or the AP9225 unit? This means that the AP9619 cannot talk to the MasterSwitch and will be a problem with the AP9619 or the MasterSwitch.

I did this today and it appears indeed the AP9225 is probably bad. What I experienced is that in telnet I could not choose the device, even though it shows up in the Web interface (both when serially connected to another AP9225 w/ management card w/ the internal card pulled or through the re-inserted management card). As a result, I would very much like to find a way to try to restore the EPROM inside the unit (not the management card). Since I can't access it in the device manager (either when serially connected to another AP9225 w/ management card w/ the internal card pulled or through the re-inserted management card), I can't choose the command to restore the EPROM (as this command is only intended to show up in the console). As such, is there a way to force a re-initialization of the internal EPROM? I know there's a reset button on the front of the unit, but the manual doesn't make it clear how it could be used if no management card is present. Thanks!
