Hello all,
We just hooked up a Symmetra unit with 6 PDUs. I have 4 non-switching PDUs (8841?) and this single switched PDU (8641) and a 120v PDU as well.
This PDU comes up - the screen looks fine, but I get emails about 5 mins after powering it on stating:
"Communication has been lost to the device!"
Name : PDU5
Location : IT Shoretel Rack (left)
Contact : Unknown
Date : 03/15/2012
Time : 3:21:41
Code : 0x3404
Critical Events - Switched Rack PDU: Component communications lost with Outlet Board 2 Meter.
Fortunately there is nothing plugged into the PDU yet, but I intend to run some things off of it by this weekend that will require constant up time. So, I want to troubleshoot this before I put it in.
Thanks!
Jon

hmm ok. on the AP8641, you need to have your RJ-45 terminator connected to either the IN or OUT port on the front LCD display. can you confirm what port this little connector is connected to?
