Hello
We are having a very hard time trying to reset the password of a batch of AP7722 ATS that came with an AP9617 NMC.
We can log in the "basic management" in serial console with apc/apc and our serial cable.
But from there we only have 10 levels of menu and cannot access the 11th menu as stated in the documentation we found.
(following page 15 of this guide : http://www.apc.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z6K9J/ASTE-6Z6K9J_R3_EN.pdf )
We were wondering if there was an issue with our cable but the recommended cable is 940-1000B wich turns out to be a straight cable, as we use.
Any help or extra information would be appreciated.

I discovered several years ago that AP7701 for some reason does not have the 11th option in the menu but AP7750 does. I think AP7722 must not have it either because you said you logged in specifically with apc/apc to the ATS configuration menu with 940-1000B.
The easiest and quickest thing I think will be to move the AP9617 to a different device and perform the NMC password reset procedure. Do you have a UPS by chance that works with AP9617? Or if you know what types/models of APC UPS you have, I can tell you if it will work.
Other than that, this may be a loophole with this product and situation..! You need serial access to the NMC to perform the password reset on it but the ATS isn't allowing it!

I must add that I have the ip of the device and can login into the web management with user readonly/apc (but admin and device levels have a different password)
