Hello,
I have a AP5610 switch that I seem to be having an issue with. Everything works fine when accessing the switch with the KVM but when I try to access it through the web browser the screen looks different than when trying to access my other switches. I've attached two pictures. The first is when I'm logged onto the switch through a web browser and the other is after I try to connect to a server. It's asking me for credentials and then not allowing me to sign on to the server. I'm wondering how I go about checking the firmware on my device and updating to the latest. I know the device is discontinued. Thanks
Pat

Could you please point me to this firmware? I have an AP5616 (same series KVM, just more ports) and would like any updated firmware, but cannot find any on apc.com. Being able to use valid SSL certificates would be nice.
In addition, I have issues with LDAP group authorization against a 2012R2 AD server. It previously worked fine with Server 2008 and Novell eDirectory but now it either takes 100-110 seconds to do the group lookup (after authentication succeeds in 3-4 seconds), or sometimes the LDAP stack crashes and LDAP logins fail instantly until I reboot the KVM (as seen via the serial console messages).
This is in addition to the known issue of the viewer not working with Java 8.

Hi Pat,
The screen you attached when you log in is not an administrator. Normally there is a Tools menu where you'd be able to check firmwares, upgrade it, etc. Do you have an administrator account available to log in?
Usually I see that funny type screen behavior when a device is going through a Proxy server or something strange. But, you have no issue with the other switches.
We can provide a firmware upgrade to try once we see the version with administrator credentials. But is maybe that part of the problem, the credentials on this KVM you have are not administrator whereas you have administrator credentials on the other switches?
Do you use LDAP to access these KVMs by chance or local authentication?

Hi Angela,
You were correct. I was logging on as a user and not the admin. I also had to make some changes to the Java security but I'm able to access everything. I'd still like to upgrade the firmware if you think it would benefit me. My current versions are as follows:
Application: 01.00.09.06
Boot: 01.00.00.04
OSCAR ASIC: 00.00.16.00
UART FPGA: 01.00.01.01
Video FPGA: 01.00.00.13
Hardware:: 00.15.00.00
Pat

Hi Pat,
I'll message you a link to a newer firmware we had for this. I think it fixed a bug with Virtual Media and also allowed the user to upload their own SSL certs. Let me know if you do not get my message with the download link.

Hi Angela. I'm just getting back around at attempting to update the firmware. Do you know of a previous post, youtube video or a guide that takes you through the process of updating the firmware? I think the previous person who did it connected straight to the devices with his laptop but I'm not positive. Thanks
