Hi All,
A customer of ours has several ACRC100's. Roughly every hour they are receiving several email alerts, mostly 'high rack temperature alarms'. They will receive a notification soon after telling them the temperature is back under threshold (that is likely not the exact language but you get the point). The ACRC is operational and the room is cooling just fine.
Basically the customer wants to make sure they are not so overwhelmed with 'alarms' that do not require immediate attention that they miss an alarm that does require immediate attention.
Do you think this is simply a temperature setting on the web management card that needs to be changed? If so, do you know if or where I can find recommendations as to what the settings should be? Default settings might be a little too sensitive.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Thank you!

Hello Brian. If they are receiving the "Rack inlet high temperature" and "Rack Inlet High temperature cleared" notifications, then their threshold setting for the rack inlet temperature is set to low. Go to the data log on the units (under logs tab on the top and data on the left) and see what the highest reading for the rack inlet sensor is. Take this temperature and go to the Unit tab and under thresholds on the left set the Rack Inlet High temperature alarm to around 5 degrees above the high temp that was in the data log. This will prevent the nuisance alarms and stop the emails. If it is only one sensor that keeps alarming, then check the placement of the sensor in the front of the rack. Sometimes the sensor gets laid on top of a server or is picking up heat from a source in the rack that is causing it to read high.
Thank you
