ACRC 103 low cooling effect.

Hi,

Im currently running one ACRC 103 Chilled water.

The cooling effect displayed is in the range 2-4 KW.

The Fan speed is on max, with 1500 litres of air per second.

And the temperature is to high.

How can I "debug" this situation?

Since this is a 18KW cooler that never goes above 4, there has to be something wrong.

Waterflow? Water temp?

Any hints would be appreciated.

Terje

I am a little confused by the data:  the "Supply Air" is reporting as 17.8 C which looks good, but the "Rack Inlet" - which is what is reported by the remote sensor you said is attached to the front of the rack, and is where the cool supply air should reach - is reporting 29 C ?  Its almost like the InRow AC is installed backwards or something. Do you have the InRow right beside this rack and thus create is a nice cold aisle ? 1218_inrow-pic.jpg

So you are getting a reading for "cooling output" of 2 to 4 kw. Have you installed the supply air probe (remote temperature sensor) on the face of the server rack you are cooling ? What is your "Cool Setpoint" ? It might also help to pass on the readings that are coming up for "Supply Air", "Return Air",  "entering water temperature" and  "fluid valve position"....

I even mad notes of the values, but for some reason I submitted without this information:

Sensor is installed -> Supply Air 17,8c

Return air: 26,2c

Rack Inlet: 28,9c

Cool setpoint: 22.2c

MaxRack: 29,3c

Fluid in: 11,7c

Fluid out: 13,9c

Fluid flow: 0,5l / s

Fluid valve pos: 52%
